There are a total of 12 districts in Himachal Pradesh, Chamba is one of the northern districts among them in Himachal. Chamba is situated on the banks of river Ravi at 1006 meters height above sea level. Because of the mountains and weather conditions of the place, tourists love to visit Chamba. Manimahesh Lake is also known as 'Dal Lake' situated on Peer Panjal Range near Manimahesh Kailash Peak at 4080 meters above sea level. You can trek to the lake by 2 routes, one is from Hadsar village where you can easily find food and accommodation during your trek, and the second is from village Holi where you can't find food or shelter easily. Pilgrimage trek to the lake in the month of August-September which is known as 'Manimahesh Yatra'.

5. Chaugan

Chamba Chaugan is situated in the main city of Chamba on the banks of the river Ravi at 1006 meters above sea level. You can find accommodation and food very easily here because a large number of hotels and restaurants are available near the Chaugan. The best time to walk on Chaugan is having an evening walk or walking after dinner. You will find real peace of mind while walking on the Chaugan ground.
